GDPR Information Clause
Pursuant to Article 13(1) and (2) of the GDPR, please be informed that:
1. The controller of your personal data is the University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszow, ul. Sucharskiego 2, 35-125 Rzeszów, Poland (hereinafter: UITM).
2. Data Protection Officer: Bogusław Ulijasz, contact: bulijasz@wsiz.edu.pl
3. Your personal data will be processed for the purpose of registration and organisation of your participation in the 17th National Scientific Conference “Science and Passion as the Key to Success” (20–21 May 2026), including organisational contact, on the basis of Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR. If you provide invoice details, such data will also be processed for settlement purposes and to fulfil legal obligations incumbent on UITM, on the basis of Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR. In the case of active participation, the following data: first name, last name, affiliation, and the title of the paper/poster, will also be processed for the purpose of preparing and publishing the conference programme on the conference website and the UITM website.
4. The recipients of the data may include entities providing services necessary for conference organisation and IT support to UITM (e.g. IT system providers), as well as entities authorised under the law.
5. The data will not be transferred to a third country or to an international organisation.
6. The data will be stored until the conference has ended and all related settlements have been completed, no later than 31 December 2026, and with regard to invoice data, for the period required by law.
7. The data will not be used for automated decision-making, including profiling.
8. You have the right to access your data, rectify it, erase it (in cases provided for in the GDPR), restrict its processing, transfer the data, and lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office.
9. Providing your data is voluntary, but necessary for registration and participation in the conference; failure to provide the data will make participation impossible. Invoice data is required only if you request an invoice to be issued.

Photography notice: During the conference, photographs and recordings will be made for event coverage purposes. They will be published on the conference website, the UITM website, and the conference Facebook page. Persons who do not wish to be photographed in a recognisable manner are asked to select the option “I do not consent to the publication of my image” and report this at registration on the day of the event (they will receive a “NO PHOTO” badge / a seat in a no-photography zone).
